2. What did Jesus command in the final paragraph?
3. What did Jesus promise in the final paragraph?

Interpretation

1. How would you have felt if you were one of the disciples?
2. What did Jesus mean when He replied to Peter (verse 10)?
3. Re-read verses 2 and 11. Why did Jesus wash Judas' feet even though He knew Judas would betray Him? How do you think this made Jesus feel?

Application

1. Do you like serving others?
2. Do you like being served?
3. In today's culture we do not have the custom of publicly washing feet. In what other ways can we serve people today?
4. Think of something that you can do that will show someone God's love with no strings attached. Do that thing during the next week.
