Read Matthew 18:21-35

Warmup

1. On a scale from 1 to 10, how hard is it for you to forgive someone who has badly hurt you?

Observation

1. Who does the king represent?
2. Who does the servant represent?
3. Who does the second servant represent?
4. How are we to forgive others?

Interpretation

1. Why did the king take pity on the servant?
2. Why do you think the servant treated the other servant so harshly?
3. What do you think is the key verse in this parable?

Application

1. Take a minute and think of specific things God has forgiven you.
2. Is there anyone you need to forgive? If so, ask someone to pray for you during the next week while you seek resolution with God and with the person.
3. Is there anyone from whom you need to ask forgiveness? Begin taking steps to do so.
